Shanghai BioScience's BIOLEADER Expands Its Life Science Plastics Portfolio

Precision moulding, clean production and surface treatment support liquid handling, cell culture and molecular workflows

BIOLEADER, Shanghai BioScience's laboratory consumables brand, provides plastic products for liquid handling, sample preparation, molecular biology, cell culture and storage across routine research and life science workflows.
Its manufacturing site covers more than 10,000 m2 and includes over 2,000 m2 of Class 100,000 cleanroom space. Electric injection-moulding machines with robotic arms, automated production and packaging equipment, in-house product design and mould engineering bring development, manufacturing and quality control into one process. The facility is certified to ISO 9001 and ISO 13485.
The portfolio includes universal, filtered and low-retention pipette tips, serological pipettes and reagent reservoirs; round- and square-well deep-well plates; PCR tubes, strips, plates and sealing films; centrifuge tubes and bottles; storage tubes, reagent bottles, cryogenic vials and freezer boxes; syringe filters and vacuum-filter units; and cell-culture flasks, shake flasks, dishes, plates and detection microplates.
BIOLEADER also applies different surface treatments for specific culture conditions. Plasma TC treatment supports routine adherent cells. Enhanced TC treatment is intended for primary and sensitive cells and low-serum environments. An ultra-low attachment, zwitterionic polymer coating supports suspension culture, stem-cell and organoid research, while reagent-based TC treatment addresses cells with more demanding attachment requirements.
