General Information

Lab Innovations 2026 will take place on Wednesday 4 and Thursday 5 November 2026 at the NEC Birmingham, Hall 2.

The show opens at 9:00am each day, closing at 5:00pm on Wednesday 4 November and 4:00pm on Thursday 5 November.

No need to print anything in advance! To ensure smooth and seamless access to exhibitors, features and conference sessions, you’ll receive a personal Smart Badge when you arrive.

Simply show your email confirmation on your device at the registration area to collect your badge.

Yes! Advanced Engineering and UK Metals is co-located with Lab Innovations, meaning you can move between the three shows using your Lab Innovations badge.

Advanced Engineering takes place in Halls 3 and 3A, and UK Metals takes place in Hall 4, while Lab Innovations is located in Hall 2.

If you receive an email from anyone claiming to sell Lab Innovations visitor lists, please note that it’s a scam. Report the sender and inform a member of our team so we can escalate it to our legal department.

ColLABorate is the theme of Lab Innovations 2026, highlighting the power of collaboration across the laboratory community.

The event brings together scientists, technicians, lab managers, suppliers, researchers and industry experts to share ideas, solve challenges and build connections across sectors.

In 2026, colLABorate focuses on five key areas: AI & Automation, Applied Innovation, Quality & Compliance, Sustainability, and Skills & Development.

Registration for Lab Innovations 2026 is now open! Secure your free pass by registering here.

Attendance is completely free, but registration in advance is required to access the show floor, conference theatres and networking areas.

Yes – attendance is free, but advance registration is required.

The event is open to visitors aged 18 and over.

 

If your child is 18 or older, they are welcome to attend but must register for their own pass.

As a VIP visitor, you’ll enjoy:

If you are looking for exhibitors before Lab Innovations, you can search via category, product or sector on our exhibitor list. You can also discover products, services, job adverts and news items. You can reach out to exhibitors via the form at the bottom of their profile.

Your Smart Badge acts as your digital business card.

Tap your badge on readers around the show to collect exhibitor and feature details automatically. After the event, you’ll receive an email summarising all the stands and features you visited – no note-taking needed!

Yes! When registering, simply select that you are a member of the press or a student on the registration form.

Once registration opens, invite your colleagues and network to join you for free!

Choose your favourite event artwork and share it on your social channels, by email, or via WhatsApp.

If you need help with your My Easyfairs account, please get in contact with someone from the marketing team who can help. You can find their details here. You can also sign up for our weekly exhibitor drop-in webinars here. 

You can order additional items for your stand through the My Easyfairs webshop, including power and lighting, floor covering, graphics, AV, stand fitting and furniture.

Simply log in to My Easyfairs and select ‘Manage my stand’ to access the webshop.

We encourage visitors and exhibitors to use public transport where possible. If you are driving, please book your parking in advance via the NEC website.

 

Stand builders can make Voyage Control bookings closer to the event. You will be emailed when bookings open.

My Easyfairs is the online portal for exhibitors at Lab Innovations. This is where you will manage all of your information for the show, from updating your company profile and logo to inviting clients and prosects to visit your stand. 

Once your stand has been booked you will automatically be sent access via email to the portal to log in. My Easyfairs has four easy sections, these are: 

  1. Manage your online profile (update your information that will pull through to the website and app)
  2. Invite your clients & prospects (share personal links and artwork to invite your network as your guest)
  3. Manage your stand (access the webshop, set up your smart badge readers and Visit Connect lead-generation tools)
  4. Track your performance (Keep track of how many leads you have collected over the event, as well as how your profile ranks among the exhibitors)

Visit Connect is a highly useful lead-generation tool to use onsite at Lab Innovations. It allows you to scan visitors badges with your mobile device, qualify leads by making notes, and download all information via My Easyfairs. These leads will be available immediately after they are scanned. 

Visit Connect is included as part of your EasyGo package. Information about this tool can be found on My Easyfairs under the ‘Manage your stand’ section. 

Smart Badge readers allow you to collect leads even without speaking to visitors. If a visitor is interested in your products or solutions, they can simply tap their Smart Badge on your Smart Badge reader and your information will be automatically exchanged. It’s exactly like a digital business card! 

This means you won’t miss any qualified leads, even if your team is busy speaking to clients or prospects, or away from the stand.  

Your EasyGo package will tell you how many readers you have for your stand: 

GoLeads – 1 reader 

GoPlus – 2 readers 

GoPremium – 3 readers 

Once the show is over and your readers have been returned, you will receive an email to download all Smart Badge touches. 

You can manage the information received by visitors in your My Easyfairs account under ‘Manage your stand’.
