Full Entry Criteria

See below for our top tips for a shining submission as well as entry criteria for each category.

This award celebrates the achievements and commitment to our industry from an extraordinary individual.

It is presented to a prominent figure who has made their career in the laboratory industry and significantly impacted on both their own organisations and the sector as a whole.

This individual is usually selected by our panel of industry judges, however if you know someone that you think should be taken into consideration, please email nicole.hawkins@easyfairs.com.

The judges are looking for evidence of excellence across sustainability, innovation, automation, staff development and collaboration, and standout examples of progress and advancement.

This category focuses on the implementation of digital/smart technology in order to optimise accuracy, efficiency and transparency of operation.

It is open to all labs. Nominations are also welcome from technology providers who have developed solutions in collaboration with their laboratory client.

The Sustainable Laboratory of the Year Award recognises the progress made towards Net-Zero and sustainability in the lab. It is open to all labs.

This was presented to a prominent figure who has made their career in the laboratory industry and significantly impacted on both their own organisations and the sector as a whole.

Anybody who knew an individual who they feel is deserving of this prize could make a nomination.

This award recognises new talent, identifying individuals who have made a significant impact on the provision of services within their organisation and who are demonstrating potential to shine in the future.

Entrants to this category must be nominated by someone working with them within their organisation, or by a client.

The Supplier Excellence Award recognises excellence in customer support in the areas of expertise, advice and supply chain challenges.

Entrants must demonstrate how they worked to form a close relationship with a key client, or produce evidence of a succesful project or case study.

The Best Sustainable Product Award recognises significant progress in product innovation toward Net-Zero and the circular economy.

This award is not just about making products that are ‘green’, it is about taking a holistic approach to the entire lifecycle of that product, including the development and how it is made.

The Best Technology Innovation Award recognises the most significant product or service innovation.

This could be a ground-breaking new technology, or alternatively a step change to an existing solution.

This category, similar to Best Technology Innovation, recognises new technology or developments to an existing solution, however with a focus on the automation side of new technology. 

The Best Consumables Innovation Award is given to the most innovative lab consumable, whether it is new or redeveloped.

The Best Collaborative Project Award recognises the impact of cooperation between organisations.

The judges look for projects that have been successfully undertaken by stakeholders from different organisations.

For any lab to operate effectively, it must have a properly skilled and well-trained team of people.

Entrants need to provide evidence of how their training enables their employees to develop personally, expand their knowledge, and more.
