Held at Lab Innovations on 4 November 2026 at NEC Birmingham, the ceremony lets visitors recognise innovation, meet peers and discover the people, projects and organisations advancing laboratory science.

What are the Lab Awards?

The Lab Awards are the annual Laboratory Awards programme celebrating achievement across the UK lab community.
 
Powered by Lab Innovations and Laboratory News, the awards recognise successful projects, new launches, rising talent and the contributions of laboratories, suppliers, SMEs, academia and individuals.
 
The ceremony takes place at Lab Innovations on 4 November at NEC Birmingham. It brings the sector together to recognise the people and organisations helping move laboratory science forward.

How can you take part in the awards programme?

Each year, the Lab awards invite entries and nominations from suppliers, SMEs, academic institutions and individuals. Review the award categories to identify where a colleague, project, team or organisation could be recognised, then submit an entry during the nominations period.

What are the Lab Innovations Awards and what do they recognise?

The Lab Awards are an annual Laboratory Awards programme celebrating achievement across the UK laboratory community. Powered by Lab Innovations and Laboratory News, they recognise successful projects, rising talent, new launches and the contributions of individuals, laboratories, suppliers, SMEs and academic organisations.

Entries are open to suppliers, SMEs, academic organisations and individuals whose work has made a positive contribution to the laboratory sector. Teams can enter relevant projects or nominate colleagues and organisations for recognition, subject to the criteria and entry dates published for each awards programme.

The awards recognise achievements including successful projects, innovative product launches, scientific contribution, leadership and work that has created positive change in the laboratory community. The programme is relevant to organisations and individuals across laboratory science, including suppliers, SMEs, academic teams and working laboratory professionals.
