LaboraTree - Tree Planting Scheme. Turning Tips into Trees

Celebrating over 10 years of LaboraTree! It was way back in 2009 that the first seed of the Alpha Laboratories' tree planting scheme, LaboraTree, was sown. Thanks to the dedicated LaboraTree members in laboratories throughout the UK, over 3000 trees have now been planted across the country and are helping make a difference to our environment. The trees planted by our members have helped to consume CO2, clean up pollution, generate oxygen and provide vital habitats for wildlife. To celebrate 10 years of LaboraTree in 2019, we extended the scheme to include ZAP™ Premier filter tips in addition to Fastrak® tip refills. So now it is easier to collect more tokens towards trees. ZAP Filter Tips are Fastrak’s sister product. And, just like Fastrak they are made with sunshine too! In fact over 30% of the energy needed to make ZAP tips comes directly from solar panels. FastZAP™ is Alpha’s newest addition to the scheme, offering the ZAP Premier filter tips in the Fastrak re-racking system. Using both Fastrak® or FastZAP™and ZAP together is the perfect eco-friendly combination. You reduce the amount of waste in your laboratory too. Plus, you can now do even more to help preserve the environment for future generations by planting more trees through the LaboraTree campaign. There's never been a better time to join the LaboraTree scheme!

    2. Laminar Airflow Cabinets

      Laminar Airflow Cabinets

Envair Technology’s range of Laminar Airflow Cabinets for healthcare, drug discovery, micro-electronics assembly and semi-conductor production include both vertical and horizontal laminar airflow models. With an extensive list of options and customisations available, all dimensions can be configured to suit your requirements Our Vertical Laminar Flow R Series guarantees superior product protection by offering a positive pressure particle-free working area achieved by initially pulling air through a G4 pre-filter (EN779:2012) and then pushing air through a High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filter type H-14 (BS: EN: 1822). This provides vertical laminar downflow air into the working area at a homogenous air speed across the filter face in a range of 0.36 m/s to 0.54 m/s. Our Horizontal Laminar Airflow Cabinets are designed to provide better than ISO 5 and EC GMP Grade A air quality. The flow of air is unidirectional and towards the operator, ensuring clean ‘first air’ in their work zone. Featuring variable speed super-silent fans and a mobile frame, the cabinets have no effect on room pressures and create sterile air conditions within minutes of being started. They are easy to install, easy to move and easy to operate. Please contact sales@envairtechnology.com, visit our website or download the datasheets below to find out more.

    3. Laminar Flow Solutions

      Laminar Flow Solutions

Laminar flow cabinets and solutions, such as booths and modules, provide a continuous stream of filtered, particle-free clean air that flows uniformly over the work surface, ensuring sensitive materials are protected from contamination. Whether you need a bespoke design tailored to your specific workflows, applications, and protocols, or an off-the-shelf model for a quicker turnaround, we offer laminar flow solutions in a variety of versatile configurations to suit any requirement.

    4. Leak Detection - Efficient and reliable performance

Leak Detection - Efficient and reliable performance

Offering a portfolio of (helium) leak detectors: ELD500 and GasCheck G3 Designed for fast, repeatable and accurate leak detection in a wide range of applications, the ELD500 is fully mobile with an easy to use control interface. The proven design of the Edwards ELD500 leak detector, combined with low energy consumption, extended warranty and even longer life ion source, ensures exceptional low cost of ownership with no compromise on performance. The Edwards GasCheck G3 features a Micro Thermal Conductivity sensor for enhanced sensitivity. At the heart of the instrument is a sensor which can detect any gas with a different thermal conductivity to that of air. Leaks can be located and the gas leak rate can be displayed in a choice of convenient units.

    7. LR 1000 control complete package

      LR 1000 control complete package

The LR 1000 control is a cost efficient, modular laboratory reactor designed for optimizing chemical reaction processes as well as for mixing, dispersing and homogenization applications at the laboratory scale. The system can be adapted quickly and easily for a wide range of applications and specific requirements. The reactor is especially designed for the unique applications requirements that define the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries. The temperature of the medium can be as high as 120 ºC. The temperature of the heating source, which is located at the bottom of the vessel, is controlled accordingly to reach the set temperature inside the medium. A PT 100.30 temperature sensor and the corresponding receptacle LR 1000.61 for the lid are included with this package. Prominent features of the LR 1000 control system are the integrated pH sensor connection and the display interface. The latter allows for the display of all process-relevant data onto a PC, save data storage and control of the reactor. The software (accessory) allows for further adaptation of the overall system and processes.
