    1. Eco-Conscious, Low Retention Pipette Tips

      Eco-Conscious, Low Retention Pipette Tips

EcoRack - Nerbe plus Premium Surface low retention pipette tip racks, are now available in completely paper-based packaging; ensuring easy disposal and significantly reducing plastic waste in the laboratory. They are stable and pre-sterilised and ready for immediate use. These top-quality tips are optimised for the highest precision and reproducibility in a pipetting cycle. The ultra-smooth hydrophobic surfaces prevent loss of material through adsorption and reduces DNA denaturation. These qualities improve efficiencies of test sequences by cutting down on costs associated with expensive reagents. The accuracy of Premium Surface tips is not affected by the physical properties of your sample, enabling you to achieve perfect results in liquid handling, even when dealing with challenging solutions. The viscosity, volatility, surface tension and temperature of your solution can negatively influence pipetting quality. This adversely affects the accuracy and precision of the desired result. With Premium Surface tips this is no longer a problem. Material loss of your valuable reagents and denaturation of DNA are therefore a thing of the past. Premium Surface tips are made from outstanding medical grade polypropylene granules giving them unparalleled transparency. The filter tip options contain sophisticated filter material with optimum pore density. Their universal fit means they are compatible with all common pipettes on the market, either single or multichannel models. These tips will revolutionise your daily laboratory work with continuous residue-free pipetting. They provide you with maximum precision and accuracy when aspirating and dispensing your sample material, to ensure your best results and success. Simultaneously, the EcoRacks offer a sustainable alternative to conventional pipette tip boxes.

    2. Eco-Drying Cabinet - Low Power Consumption

Eco-Drying Cabinet - Low Power Consumption

LTE Scientific has developed a new range of sustainable eco-drying cabinets confronting the ever-growing demand to reduce carbon footprints which will significantly reduce power usage, offering massive energy savings when compared to conventionally constructed glassware drying cabinets. In tests, the DL100E used only 0.1kWh to get from 22°C to 60°C and then only 0.125kWh thereafter to maintain that temperature. At a constant 75°C the DL100E only used 0.188kWh. These eco-drying cabinets are available in both from 100 and 180 litres, the eco-drying cabinet range is fully insulated on 5 sides and supplied with glass sliding doors or double glazed doors, depending on the model chosen. LTE’s hygienic sterling anti-bacterial coating is used on all the outer casings, whilst all interiors are manufactured from stainless steel. All models come as standard with digital temperature control, a 7 day timer and 2-year warranty.

    5. Electrochemistry Kit

      Electrochemistry Kit

In a unique endeavor, IKA owner René Stiegelmann has partnered up with Professor Phil S. Baran of the world-renowned Scripps Research Institute in La Jolla, California (USA). Over the past three years, engineers and chemists have worked hand in hand to develop a product combining two divisions of chemistry communities: the Electrochemical and the mainstream Synthetic Organic Chemistry Communities that traditionally don’t have much in common. ElectraSyn 2.0 combines three products in one and will facilitate the mass adoption of electrochemistry for preparative organic synthesis: a potentiostat, an analytical device and a stir plate.
