Regulations require natural ventilation for such cabinets, achieved through two certified valves that ensure air recirculation at least 10 times the cabinet’s volume per hour, preventing dangerous vapour concentrations. Cabinets can be connected to a continuously operating extraction motor. If used, a grain-shaped activated charcoal filter can be installed to help neutralise harmful vapours and protect laboratory personnel.
