Step by Step BOD Automation

The Mantech AM400 systems automate the 5-day and 7-day BOD analysis methods approved for regulatory compliance around the world. The BOD measurement systems conform to ASTM Standard Methods 5210B 23rd and 24th Editions, ISO EN 5815, ISO EN 1899-1, -2 and are available with AM400 series autosamplers or the AM430 series for labs with limited space. Both feature robust robotics, a single anchor point to prevent binding and sealed, self-lubricating axes that do not trap dust or debris and require no maintenance. Whether you need manual or automated, large or small, simple or complex, we can configure the ideal BOD solution for your lab.

AM400 systems are robust and feature easy to use software with a customizable user interface to simplify operation. Samples can easily be managed and prioritised during analysis and results quickly identify with barcoded labels. Up to five pumps can be automated for reagent addition, eliminating the potential for human error. Automated DO probe calibrations and calibration checks can be carried out either on a rack or at a separate side position, with automated recalibration and re-reading of previous samples when required. The systems also feature the option to perform automated dechlorination.

Management and prioritisation of samples during BOD analysis is simple. The systems feature a customisable user interface to simplify operation while results are quickly identified with barcoded labels. Systems feature auto-populating data entry with YSI meter integration. They perform all calculations with 5 and 7 day tracking incorporating email reminders and the option to add a multi-position autosampler. If integrated directly with the YSI Multi-Lab 4010-W series DO meters the BOD Pro software auto populates dissolved oxygen (DO) readings to the run table. Alternatively manual data entry is available for customers with alternative meters. Software is available as a standalone package for manual analysis.
