Accuris SmartDrop XF Nano Spectrophotometer
The Accuris SmartDrop™ series of nano spectrophotometers provides quick and easy quantification of small samples. Utilising a small sample volume eliminates the need for dilutions, providing more accurate results. A full colour, 7” touchscreen with icon-driven menus and pre-programmed protocols gets users up and running quickly. No external computer is required. Each unit features a quartz pedestal onto which a drop of sample is placed. The arm is lowered and the drop is stretched into a liquid column of specified length for spectral analysis. DNA, RNA and protein concentrations and purity numbers are displayed in a matter of seconds. The resulting data can be printed, saved in the SmartDrop’s onboard memory or exported via USB as an Excel file. All SmartDrop models include an integrated printer. For OD600 readings, each model includes a cuvette port and two optical glass cuvettes. This top of the line spectrophotometer can perform not only UV-Vis readings in the range of 200-800nm but also fluorescence readings. Like the SmartDrop X, the SmartDrop XF features predefined programs for nucleic acids, proteins, and various colorimetric assays. The patented, motorized system gently stretches the sample column and allows for three different path lengths, providing accurate readings of samples from 0.5 to 2.0µl without dilution. The integrated fluorometer yields more accurate, sensitive and selective quantitation of nucleic acids. The blue light channel (460nm) is useful for detection of dyes such as PicoGreen and RiboGreen as well as GFP and fluorescein. UV, green and red channel models are available upon request. Accuris SmartReader 96 Microplate Absorbance Reader
The Accuris SmartReader™ 96 is ideal for labs measuring concentration or absorbance in 96-well plates. Its 7-inch touch screen, intuitive software, and graphical interface allow for easy, standalone operation without needing a separate computer. The SmartReader™ 96 includes four standard filters (405, 450, 492, and 630nm), with 26 additional filters available, covering 340 to 750nm. The filter wheel holds up to eight filters, selectable during programming. Users can program the device using the touch screen or a connected mouse, selecting wavelength filters, shaking parameters, plate layout details, and reading protocols. The MIC1202 model offers precise temperature control for plate incubation, from 5°C above ambient to 50°C. The device also supports dual-filter measurements and kinetic calculations. All software is integrated into the SmartReader™ 96, making it a convenient standalone system. Data can be easily saved to a USB drive via a side port and transferred as universal .csv files for further processing. A data port also allows connection to a computer or printer. The plate layout interface allows quick setup, with a graphical representation of the 96-well plate. Users can label wells (e.g., “standard,” “sample,” “blank,” “QC control,” “control,” or “empty”) and highlight multiple wells to save time. Measurement data, interpretations, and analysis are displayed immediately after readings. Key features include the 7-inch colour touch screen, a filter-based system with a 340-750nm wavelength range, standalone operation with USB data transfer, an absorbance range of 0.0 to 4.000 Abs, an 8-channel optical path, a multi-speed plate shaker, and temperature-controlled incubation (MIC1202 model).
