VUV Analytics LUMA detector for GC

LUMA is a multi-channel universal detector offering FID-like sensitivity with full spectral information!

LUMA uses vacuum ultraviolet (VUV) light, starting from 120 nm, meaning the light is absorbed by every molecule except carrier gases (H2, N2, He) - making LUMA a truly universal detector for GC!

The system offers high-sensitivity data with 12-channels to create low-resolution spectra that can be used for confident identification, something previously only possible with MS detection.

LUMA operates similarly to an LC UV detector, meaning the only consumable is the UV lamp which helps reduce ownership costs on maintenance, and reduces downtime from common tasks like MS ion source cleaning.

LUMA can integrate on all major GCs, and can be controlled within common software platforms like Agilent OpenLab CDS, Thermo Chromeleon, and Waters Empower, allowing users to continue using existing data processing workflows!
