Also known as crossflow filtration, TFF is used to concentrate, buffer exchange and desalt macromolecules such as proteins, viruses, nucleic acids, and nanoparticles. Once exclusive to biopharma, it is increasingly valuable in research labs that handle large sample (feed) volumes.
