VerdiBlot is a universal Western blot membrane manufactured by LAM-X a.s. in the Czech Republic. It is designed for researchers and life-science laboratories seeking sensitive protein detection, very low background and practical compatibility with established Western blot workflows.

VerdiBlot offers ultra-low autofluorescence across 280–800 nm, supporting a broad range of commonly used fluorescent imaging channels. It is also compatible with chemiluminescent and colorimetric detection. The membrane supports wet, semi-dry and dry transfer, multiplexing, total-protein staining, stripping and reprobing, helping researchers obtain more information from valuable or limited samples.

VerdiBlot fits familiar laboratory procedures with no or only minor adjustments. It typically requires no separate PVDF-style methanol pre-activation and can normally be wetted and equilibrated directly in an alcohol-containing transfer buffer. Its very low background helps improve contrast and the visibility of faint targets, including in demanding applications involving low-abundance proteins, low sample loads or weak antibodies. Final performance depends on the complete experimental system, including transfer conditions, blocking, antibodies, washing and imaging equipment.

Alongside its scientific performance, VerdiBlot adds an important environmental advantage: it is PFAS-free and 100% biodegradable. To our knowledge, it is currently the only Western blot membrane offering 100% biodegradability. Developed and manufactured in the European Union, it provides a practical alternative to conventional PVDF membranes without asking laboratories to compromise their scientific workflow.
