SCAT Europe is the world's leading manufacturer of solvent safety solutions for laboratories and chemical plants. Invented in 1998, the SCAT system protects workers and their environment from evaporating solvents, being mostly used in analytical laboratories.
The SCAT system blocks health and environmental hazards right at the source. It closes solvent containers safely and reliably, even while working with their contents. The intelligent filter and valve system ensures a safe pressure equalization.
When supplying your HPLC units with solvents, SCAT SafetyCaps ensure safe ventilation of the laboratory bottles and a clean mobile phase. When collecting liquid waste, harmful vapors are blocked by the integrated exhaust air filter.

SCAT - Safety Waste Cap LISA
The LISA from SCAT is a very flexible "universal" cap, to which may be attached up to 6 different capillary or larger tubes. Blind plugs are included within the scope of supply, should any of the available connections not be required.
SCAT - Exhaust Filter
New exhaust filters from SCAT now have 3 different layers of active carbon, each of which is specifically designed to remove certain toxic solvent vapours from air/solvent vapour mixtures, so resulting in only pure air being released back into the laboratory atmosphere.
SCAT - Air Valve
Air valves from SCAT now always include a time strip, which, when activated, automatically informs the user when an exchage of the air filter is required, i.e. after 6 months
SCAT - Safety Funnel ARNOLD
The new ARNOLD safety funnel from SCAT is a large funnel of diameter 200mm that offers a DUAL security re. the prevention of release of toxic solvent vapours into the laboratory atmosphere - it has an automatically functioning ball-valve, as well as a hinged lid with rubber seal, which, when closed, is 100% tightly sealed.
SCAT - 10 L Waste Collection Canisters with Automatic Fill-Level Alarm
Black, electrically conductive 10L waste collection canisters from SCAT provide for 100% safetey re. eliminating entirely the risk of ignition and/or explosion of solvent vapours. They may be delivered together with an automatic alarm system, which gives both a visual and an acoustic alarm, to immediately inform laboratory personnel when a canister is almost full and requires emptying or exchange.
SCAT - Piping for Waste Solvent Disposal
Black pipework and/or tubing from SCAT - from the "SymLine" System - can be used to, both easily and continually, safely dispose of waste solvents, emanating from HPLC or other laboratory equipment. The plastic used is electrically conductive, thereby serving to completely 100% eliminate any potential risk of ignition of solvent vapour and/or explostion thereof.
