About us

Nexus Biolink — Connecting diagnostic innovation with UK manufacturing.

Nexus Biolink

Nexus Biolink helps organisations turn testing ideas into practical solutions. At our ISO 13485-certified facility in Tipton, we bring together expertise in diagnostic test kits, packaging, manufacturing and regulatory compliance.

Who we work with: Our clients include NHS services, private hospitals, labs, HealthTech and biotech businesses, screening programme providers and healthcare insurers. Some need a complete testing solution; others need a specialist partner for packaging, assembly, sourcing or fulfilment. We work closely with each team to understand its testing goals, operational needs and budget.

Every organisation is different, so we offer a bespoke service. We can customise kit components, packaging, instructions, branding, assembly and fulfilment to meet a client’s exact requirements. This flexibility supports projects ranging from large-scale screening programmes to tailored testing services for healthcare insurers.

We support projects across gut and microbiome health, sexual health, virus monitoring, and preventative health screening and detection. Our work also supports the development of cancer detection tests. From sourcing components and designing packaging to manufacturing, labelling, fulfilment and compliance guidance, we can help at each stage.

We specialise in UK-manufactured UN3373 packaging, including specimen bags, boxes, envelopes and labels for sample transport. Our assembly services offer component traceability, product dating and coding. With in-house packaging specialists and flexible production processes, we can tailor solutions to a client’s requirements and, for suitable projects, move from concept to manufacturing in as little as two weeks.

Our manufacturing process is controlled and traceable from start to finish. Data-driven checks and an image capture system help our team verify products against each client’s exact specification before dispatch. We are fully supported by Trafalgar Scientific, which brings more than 30 years of experience in scientific distribution.

Sustainability matters to us. We ensure all our packaging contains a minimum of 30% recycled content. Recycling is central to how we think about packaging: we look for ways to reduce unnecessary material, make responsible use of resources and help clients consider what happens to packaging after use. In healthcare, safety and compliance guide those choices, so we balance environmental responsibility with the protection needed for diagnostic products and samples.

Our range also includes UKCA-marked Tasso blood collection kits. Designed to collect blood without a conventional needle draw, they offer a more approachable option for people with needle fear.

Our commitment to Sandwell is part of how we work. We support local job creation and help people return to work through the Government’s Restart programme. 65% of our operations team were hired through the programme and have remained employed for over two years, while 80% of our workforce is female. We also support our local community: last year, we provided 250 meals through a local food bank, and this year we aim to provide 500.
