Safelab, now part of the SDI Group, brings over 40 years of experience as a leading UK designer and manufacturer of high-quality fume cupboards and safety cabinets. Since 2003, we have delivered more than 11,000 fume cupboards and continue to provide trusted servicing and support to over 2,500 customers annually.
We work with a broad spectrum of clients, from pharmaceutical organisations, industrial R&D facilities and major universities to schools and small laboratories.
By collaborating closely with consultants, (often with BIM and REVIT information), laboratory furniture specialists, leading construction firms and end users Safelab has become the preferred supplier for many of the UK’s largest laboratory projects.

Airone XP4 Fume Cupboard
The Airone XP4 is a high-performance, double-walled fume cupboard designed for safety, efficiency, and flexibility. Available with either CAV (Constant Air Volume) or energy-saving VAV (Variable Air Volume) airflow technology, it delivers reliable containment while optimising energy use. For building projects requiring BREEAM compliance, or general energy efficiency the Airone XP4 is available in a low flow configuration, maintaining operator protection at reduced face velocities. The Airone XP4 meets BS EN 14175 standards for robustness and containment, placing it among the market leaders in its class. Built to the highest quality, features include: • Stainless steel sill • Smooth-action, counter-weighted toughened glass sash - Providing enhanced user safety • Digital control interface – Providing real-time monitoring of airflow in m/s with push button calibration and configuration Available in a range of sizes, the Airone XP4 can be free standing, walk in or DDA compliant. Built in the UK with extensive service and material options it can be tailored to customer specific requirements.

Airone R3 Fume Cupboard
The Airone R3 range of ductless recirculating fume cupboards have been designed to comply with BS7989:2001 for Filtration Fume Cupboards. They provide protection to the operator against hazardous substances, whilst being environmentally friendly and energy efficient. As a ductless solution no external ducting is required, making installation simpler and more cost-effective. Each unit incorporates a Variable Air Volume system which ensures the inflow is constant at variable sash heights. A counterweighted sliding front sash and clear laminated glass sides provide good access and visibility. Digital control systems are included to monitor and optimise performance, always ensuring safe and efficient operation. Available in 5 standard widths – 1000mm, 1200mm, 1500mm, 1800mm, and 2000mm – the units can be freestanding, or bench mounted. To ensure optimum containment and compliance, each cupboard is fitted with Carbon / HEPA filters specified by our in-house chemist, precisely tailored to the chemical applications and substances used in your laboratory. Built in the UK, allows the product to be tailored to customer needs. Options include: Stand, Services (gas, water, electrical sockets, waste etc)

Airone C700 Fume Cupboard
The Airone C700 Filtration Fume Cupboard provides complete protection for the operator against hazardous substances, whilst being environmentally friendly and energy efficient. Designed to comply to BS7989:2001 for Filtration Fume Cupboards the unit incorporates a simple to use control system, and a low airflow alarm. A hinged acrylic panel provides good access and visibility. The unit is lightweight and can be mobile, freestanding or benchtop mounted.
