Royal Society of Chemistry welcomes new President to support the future of chemistry

Professor Robert Mokaya begins his presidency at the Royal Society of Chemistry, supporting collaboration, innovation and progress across the chemistry community.

The Royal Society of Chemistry has announced Professor Robert Mokaya as its new President, following the organisation’s Annual General Meeting.

Taking on the role at an important time for the chemical sciences, Professor Mokaya will help guide the RSC’s work in supporting researchers, educators and professionals across the global chemistry community.

With a focus on collaboration, innovation and inclusivity, his presidency will continue the organisation’s mission to advance the chemical sciences and highlight the vital role chemistry plays in addressing some of the world’s biggest challenges.

Professor Mokaya brings extensive experience in research and education, having worked across areas including sustainable materials, energy and catalysis. His appointment reflects the continued importance of strong leadership in helping the scientific community adapt, innovate and drive future progress.
